# 10 - Santiago Vazquez Y La Grande

A 12 piece band which combines Afro Beat, Electronica, Funk, Jazz and Rock all with it's own personal conductor. Possible the best gig of my year so far. Value for money too, $25 Peso for 3.5 hours of solid booty shacking.

# 9 - History Lesson

The British attempted to claim Buenos Aires in 1806 and 1807, but the locals beat them back to their ships, pouring cauldrons of boiling oil and water from rooftops and firing cannons from balconies. The successful expulsion gave the Argentineans new confidence to stand up to Spain, and they declared independence on May 25, 1810. Here we celebrated the 200 year anniversary.

# 7 - Daylight Robbery

Ok so it was maybe it was not as bad as this but still pretty fricken scary.
I was at a cafe in Palermo meeting some friends who had just arrived in Buenos Aires.
There was this man who was being a little odd at the next table. He kept getting up and down, moving his bag round. Next thing I noticed my bag was gone and he was nearing the door. I leapt so fast out of my seat and ran after him, grabbed my bag and then ran back to the table. Was quite the commotion, police and security guards flocked to the scene. I did not understand what was going on as I still cant speak Espanol. I then walked home, although it was daylight I thought everyone was after me. Wanted to run, run back to Melbourne to the comfort of home. But alas I must take it in my stride and keep going. Even though its morning I think I might just have a wine. Love xxx

# 6 - An assortment of things.....

El Ateneo Grand Splendid - Possibly the most spectacular bookshop in the world.
Maybe google it as my photo does not do it justice.

# 5 - An assortment of things.....

Photo A - A fine example for what vegetables are in South America. Deep fried potatoes. Mmm make sure you eat them all fatty.

Photo B - This has been the finest culinary moment so far in Buenos Aires. Eating 400 grams of tenderloin steak at the respectful hour of 11pm. Credit must be given to Vix, as up until this point she has predominately been a vegetarian. We celebrated in style. xx

# 4 - An assortment of things.....

This city caters for all.
Mc Donald's Kosher.
I am only pretending to be in the line for the photo.
I ate real Mc Donald's with cheese for lunch.
